The Halsey Street Educational Consortium, which sponsors the Teacher’s Technology Training Institute (TTTI), is a New Jersey-based continuing education provider.  We specialize in using computer technology to strengthen school curriculums, enable educators to seamlessly integrate technology into engaging classroom activities, and provide teachers with the level of training they need to use technology more effectively in classroom instruction.

Our mission as technology solutions providers is to help you answer the question, “How can today’s technology be used to improve student achievement?”  The Consortium is continually working to develop and deploy creative affordable possibilities that are supported by the educational research literature and best practices.

For the past three years, the consortium has worked with the Rutgers University Cook College Education Opportunity Fund EOF Program, the Kean University Exceptional Educational Opportunity EEO Program, the Rutgers University Newark Campus Developmental Math Program and various college educators to create the FlexTIM™ (Flexible Technology Intervention Method) Critical Thinking Curriculum.  The FlexTIM Critical Thinking Curriculum was developed to prepare today’s incoming college freshmen for the challenge of “thought” by providing an interactive, challenging course based on eight principles of critical thinking.  The FlexTIM Critical Thinking Curriculum’s power lies in its ability to use technology to provide assessment-based, differentiated instruction and context sensitive drill down help that enables each student to progress at their own pace competing exclusively against their own potential.
